Your windows let in more heat than any other part of your home. On the Sunshine Coast, that means rooms that feel like an oven by mid-afternoon, and an air conditioner that never catches up. Home window tinting fixes this at the glass. A tough solar film bonds to your existing windows and blocks heat and UV before they get in. Your home stays cooler, calmer and cheaper to run.
It's a simple upgrade with a big impact. Residential window film goes on the glass you already have, so most homes are done in a single visit. The same film that blocks the heat also cuts 99% of UV rays, the main cause of faded floors, furniture and artwork. It kills the glare on TVs and computer screens too. Modern films keep your view and your natural light, so rooms stay bright, not dark. There are also finishes that give daytime privacy, or full-time privacy for bedrooms, bathrooms and street-facing rooms. For houses, units and apartments alike, it is one of the cheapest ways to make a home more comfortable and cheaper to cool in the Queensland heat.
Up to 80% heat rejection. Advanced films keep the worst of the summer heat outside, so living areas and bedrooms stay comfortable all day.
Real energy savings. A cooler home means less air-conditioning, helping trim your power bills every billing cycle.
Blocks 99% of UV. Protect your family and stop expensive flooring, furniture and furnishings from fading prematurely.
Glare-free rooms. Keep your natural light and outlook without the harsh glare on screens and shiny surfaces.
Privacy & added security. See out without being seen in, and gain shatter resistance that helps hold broken glass together.
Suits any home. Ideal for houses, units and apartments — applied cleanly to your existing windows in a single visit.

Most home window tinting on the Sunshine Coast works out to roughly $60 to $80 per square metre fitted, depending on the film type and brand. For a typical home, that usually lands somewhere between $500 and $1,500 all up.
The final price comes down to three things: the film you choose, how many windows you are doing, and how easy they are to reach. A few big living-room windows cost less per square metre than a lot of small, awkward ones.
Rather than guess, I come out, measure, and give you a fixed price in writing. The number I quote is the number you pay. No hourly rates, no "from" pricing, no surprises on the day.

| Neighbours seeing in | Privacy / one-way film | Daytime privacy while you keep the view out |

Straight answers from Thom, the owner who prices and fits every job.
For most Sunshine Coast homes, yes. Home window tinting bonds a clear film to your existing glass to block heat and UV without replacing the window, giving you a cooler, less glary house and protected furnishings for a fraction of the cost of new glazing.
Yes. Quality solar heat-control film rejects a large share of the sun's heat before it enters the room, which also means your air-conditioner isn't fighting the sun all day and your cooling bills ease off over summer.
It dramatically slows it. Quality film blocks up to 99% of the UV coming through your glass, and UV is the main cause of faded lounges, timber floors and artwork. Nothing stops fading entirely, but cutting almost all the UV is the single biggest protection.
During the day, privacy and reflective films let you see out while stopping people seeing in. At night that reverses once your interior lights are on, so if night-time privacy is the goal, ask about frosted and privacy film that holds its privacy around the clock.
Home window film is roughly $60 to $80 per square metre depending on the film type and brand. Most home jobs land between $500 and $1,500 based on the number and size of windows. I come out, measure, and give you a fixed, obligation-free quote so the number you see is the number you pay.
Professional-grade home window film lasts many years and is covered by a manufacturer-backed lifetime warranty on the films I fit (3M, SunTek and LLumar) - a feature not every tint company can offer. For break-ins and glass safety, ask about security window film too.
Dyed film is the budget option. It cuts glare but does little for heat, and it fades or turns purple after a few years. Ceramic film blocks far more heat, doesn't interfere with phone or Wi-Fi signal, and holds its colour for the life of the film. That's why I only fit professional-grade film from 3M, SunTek and LLumar.
Sometimes, but not always. Some films trap heat between the panes and can stress or crack the glass, or void the glass warranty. I check your glass type before recommending a film, so you get the benefit without the risk.
I install home window tinting across the Sunshine Coast, including Maroochydore, Caloundra, Buderim and Nambour.
